PRESIDENT’S WELCOME MESSAGE
Hello and welcome to EAA Chapter 821. I'd like to take this opportunity to extend a personal invitation to you to visit us at one of our monthly Chapter meetings. If your not familiar with what EAA or an EAA Chapter has to offer, here's a brief description of what you'll find.
Chapter members have access to many things most aviation enthusiasts won't find on their own. Information on building, designing, restoring, flying, licensing, and just about any other topic you could think of. The Chapter meeting is an aviation event in itself where you'll have a one-on-one contact with other people who share your interests. You will see and hear programs presented by Chapter members, listen to guest speakers from other aviation organizations and agencies. You will be given the opportunity to participate in Chapter activities such as fly-ins, pancake breakfasts, EAA Young Eagle activities, "how to" forums on topics such as aircraft woodwork, metalwork, or composite construction. You will have the opportunity to try your hand at building a wooden wing rib, or rivet aluminum, or apply dope and fabric to an aircraft structure.
As a Chapter member you'll receive our monthly newsletter which will keep you in touch with what's going on in the local aviation community. Lists of Airshows, Safety Seminars, Ground School Classes, and many other special activities.
It doesn't matter if your interests are in building and flying an ultralight, restoring a Classic or Antique aircraft, or in just flying your favorite Cessna, Piper, or Beechcraft, there's a spot for you in Chapter 821.
As we all look forward to the 2nd Century of Flight, why not become an active part of it? Stop by and visit our next Chapter meeting, the time and location are posted below. You'll be glad you came!
Yours in aviation,
Jon Aldridge
